What is cuter and cuddlier than brand new, eyes barely opened, ball of fluff?  Even those of us who are mean and rotten by nature can't resist a sweet little puppy.  If you are looking for a loyal friend that will fiercely protect your family while scaring the daylights out of your neighbors, you should look for a German Shepherd.  These sweet yet intimidating looking pups are the perfect addition to your family.  Yes, they can be expensive but if you look hard enough, you can find some cheap German Shepherd puppies for sale.

                The key to finding cheap German Shepherd puppies for sale is to dig deep.  You have to be savvy and smart.  I personally don't own a German Shepherd but I do have a Siberian Husky which is another expensive breed of dog.  When we were on the hunt for our little fur ball, we drove around looking for signs posted in front yards and at the grocery store.  We also kept our eyes peeled for newspaper ads advertising puppies for under $500.00 which was what we were willing to spend.  We weren't looking for a dog to win the Iditarod for us; we were living in South Georgia.  All I wanted was a sweet little pup that I could provide a good home for.  This brings me to my first point.  If you're looking for a dog that is of some royal blood line, don't expect to find what you're looking for on the cheap.  Cheap German Shepherd puppies probably aren't going to be related to the latest winner of the Westminster Dog Show. 

                If you are really pulling your purse strings tight, you might want to check the animal shelters in your local area for cheap German Shepherd puppies for sale.  Puppies are snatched up pretty quickly so you might have to spend a few weeks dropping by or calling every day to see if they have your specific breed.  The great thing about the shelters is that, if the puppies are old enough, they will spay or neuter them for you.  They typically give them shots and will give you lots of doggie coupons to use at your nearest pet store. 

                If you're really lucky, you may even find some sweet, kind compassionate soul who didn't mean for their dog to have puppies and instead of profiting from this event, just wants the puppies to have a good home.  You can find these wonderful people by putting “free puppies” into Google or by searching your local newspaper for free puppy ads.  Just remember that no matter what you spend on a puppy, the companionship that they provide along with their unconditional love makes them worth every penny.
