The origins of the German Shepard can be traced to the year 1899 where they were owned by a German named Max Von Stephanitz. He bred and trained these pets for use as herding dogs. As time progressed, he improved his breeding practice and the tamed dogs became flexible to accomplish multiple tasks. Life saver, play pet or sniff dog, it became an all-round dog.
